Dr. Wulf Hambach studied law in Regensburg and Hamburg. During his apprenticeship to the Bar and in his doctorate which he completed while at the Max-Planck-Institute for foreign and international private law, he had already begun to specialise on Media Law and Gaming Law. He gathered experience abroad in various places, including at the German American Chamber of Commerce in Houston (USA). From 2000 until 2001, he worked for the renowned Business Law Firm, Westphal Voges und Krohn, as well as for the media company, Verlagsgruppe Milchstrasse in Hamburg. Up until 2005, he practised in the area of gambling and betting law at an law firm in Munich. Dr. Hambach regularly writes for national and international legal publications. He is co-author of the “Internet Gambling Report” and his work has appeared in a variety of publications, including the "WorldOnlineGamblingLawReport", "Gambling Exclusive", "Betting BUSINESS", "Casino Lawyer", "Coin Slots", "Interactive Gaming News" the legal paper, "Sport & Recht", (Sport and Law) as well as the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung". He also writes for the ISA-CASINOS press agency. He is a partner of the law firm, Hambach & Hambach. Hambach & Hambach is co-founder of the european portal on gaming and gambling laws Dr. Wulf Hambach is a General Member of the International Masters of Gaming Law. In November 2005 Attorney-at-law Dr. Wulf Hambach was elected General Member for Germany of the International Masters of Gaming Lawyers (IMGL– http://www.gaminglawmasters.com/). The IMGL is a non-profit association of attorneys, gaming regulators and gaming executives dedicated to the education, advancement of the gaming law profession and exchange of professional information concerning the local and global practice and development of all aspects of gaming law. The Impossible Prohibition On Internet Gambling In Germany - 16/07/2007

Recent events in Germany have brought the adoption of the controversial Interstate Lotteries Treaty closer, but technical considerations, combined with very real doubts surrounding the legality of the Treaty’s provisions, are leading German courts to reconsider the viability of a prohibition on Internet gambling.
