The booming Native American casino industry faces a new challenge to its growth as federal regulators in Washington, D.C., take an increasingly sceptical view of efforts to expand tribal gaming. That was the consensus of tribal leaders and casino executives at last week’s G2E conference in Las Vegas, at which the challenges facing the US$25bn tribal casino sector loomed large.
