Two Wisconsin Indian tribes, whose frustrations over a delayed land into trust application have finally boiled over, have petitioned a federal court in Washington for injunctive relief. The request filed by the St. Croix Chippewa tribe contends the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) has tampered with its administration processes in such a way as to make it easier for it to deny applications.
