New York’s off-track betting parlors are threatening to close for good this summer unless they are given a larger share of revenues generated by the state’s struggling horse racing industry. The threat comes amid a heated battle for control for New York State’s three thoroughbred racetracks, whose future is set to be hashed out by state lawmakers over the next few weeks.
