A new information technology law passed in December obliges the winner of Sunday’s Spanish general election to draw up national regulations for internet gambling. With online betting already booming, Spaniards have been strongly backing a Zapatero victory, but whether they will legally be able to bet on the 2012 election is by no means certain.
