The Rechtbank, the District court of Utrecht, has again ruled against Unibet, this time in an appeal brought by the bookmaker to address the case brought against it by the state lottery company De Lotto. In a detailed 20-page opinion, the judge noted that there was no inconsistency between the Dutch Betting & Gaming Act and European law, however he also acknowledged that the ECJ may yet see things differently.
