UEFA Flags Microbetting Concerns

Microbetting markets on football matches represent a threat to the integrity of the game because they are more easily manipulated, a senior UEFA official said earlier this week. But whilst leading operators, such as Betfair, have established formal warning systems and firm dialogues with the likes of UEFA, the UEFA representative confessed that the ability of sporting bodies to actually influence betting activities or even prosecute alleged incidences of corruption remains limited.
