Italian High Court Opinion Turns Tide On Stanley’s Strategy

A recent decision by the Italian Consiglio di Stato High Court could spell the end of the road for UK bookmaker Stanley International’s campaign to operate its string of unlicensed betting outlets in Italy. But with the police already moving in to close their shops, the bookmaker’s Chairman John Whittaker remains bullish about the company’s prospects in the country, and has outlined his plans to attack the Italian government in Europe.
