Ireland’s Minister for Justice must take steps to regulate the Irish gambling industry in order to comply with Ireland’s obligations under EU law. But Maire Conneely, senior associate at Irish law firm A&L Goodbody, asks whether regulating the industry could be done in a manner that would also help swell the state’s coffers.
