Denmark’s Gambling Monopoly Crumbling Under EU Pressure

The Danish government has given the clearest indication yet that it is preparing to liberalise the country’s online gambling market after the Minister for Taxation told a Danish radio station that the government was preparing reform that would create some kind of licensing system. The move comes as Denmark faces the possibility of being forced to defend its gambling monopoly before the European Court of Justice.
