The U.S. House Committee on Financial Services yesterday voted down a bill put forward by Barney Frank and Ron Paul that would have halted the creation of regulations for the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. The vote put an early end to a measure that, in any case, had little chance of success in a US election year.
