Australian betting operator Sportsbet will be expected to cite this year’s landmark Betfair ruling in a promised High Court challenge to New South Wales’ ban on bookmakers publishing information on NSW horse races without the prior approval of the state’s racing authorities. The NSW legislation comes into effect today.
