Long Awaited UK Tote Sale Now Scheduled For Autumn

The government has begun preparations for a possible sale of state-owned bookmaker the Tote on the open market in the autumn, sports minister Gerry Sutcliffe said yesterday. Few should be surprised, however, that uncertain market conditions might yet jeopardize the sale once more.
