The second version of Barney Frank’s Payments System Protection Act, HR 6870, has been passed in the House Financial Services Committee. The measure, which would require the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve to work together to determine what is and is not included in the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, is now eligible for a vote on the floor of Representatives but will likely run out of time before Congress adjourns next week.
