Senior legal observers predict Kentucky’s attempt to seize the domain names of 141 online gambling websites is destined to be appealed to higher state or federal courts following last week’s forfeiture ruling. Doubts surround the ability of website operators to even present their defence arguments, however, after a Kentucky judge denied two prominent internet gambling associations ‘intervener’ status in the case.
