Governor Bob Riley has announced the creation of an illegal gambling taskforce to assist state prosecutors in removing electronic bingo machines from venues throughout the state. The anti-gambling governor believes the machines are illegal under Alabama law, knocking back suggestions that the state could benefit from taxing gaming machine revenues.
