West Virginian regulators are battling to maintain a ban on
gambling-related advertising amid opposition from the hundreds of
bar, restaurant and club owners who control nearly half of the state’s
video slot market. Despite a recent court ruling, state officials are
digging in for a long legal struggle as opponents of the ad
restrictions show no sign of throwing in the towel.
