The UK gambling industry is hoping that its agreement to a TV advertising watershed and the removal of logos from children’s merchandise, outlined today in a much-anticipated voluntary code of practice, will be enough to calm nerves at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) ahead of the 2005 Gambling Act’s implementation on September 1.
