The poor attendance at the first Global Interactive Gaming Summit & Expo since the BetOnSports and Neteller arrests and the passage of the UIGE Act underlined the extent to which the industry’s focus has since moved away from North America. Despite delegates’ enthusiasm for recent challenges to the UIGEA, it could be a while before remote gambling’s epicentre transfers back across the Atlantic.
