German Court Refers To ECJ In Watershed Betting Case

The Administrative Court in the German city of Gießen has referred a sports betting case directly to the European Court of Justice. The Court is asking direct questions on the compatibility of German monopolies with European law in a case that could potentially prove to be even more significant than Placanica.
