An ill-tempered debate over expanded gambling has erupted in Rhode Island as state lawmakers grapple with the prospect that neighboring Massachusetts may build as many as three resort-style casinos. However taxation may yet prove the stumbling block if the state does decide to join the rush for expanded gambling.
