The detention of Unibet CEO Petter Nylander at Amsterdam’s Schipol airport, on the basis of a European arrest warrant issued by one of France’s supercops, is the first example of extra-territorial action taken in Europe over a gambling issue. Attention is now focused on what, if anything, the European Commission will do about it.
